In the book, Black Hawk Down, there were many weapons that were used by both the Somalis and the Americans. There were weapons like AK-47s, mini-guns, and even RPGs. All of the weapons in this true-life story played a major role in how the other side would fight.
The Somalis only had two different weapons, one was the AK-47, and the other was the RPG. The AK-47 was an assault riffle that was basically out of date. They were produced by the Soviet Union and are the top gun for terrorists like the Somali warlords. The AK-47 was a three round burst weapon that did not have god accuracy. It was not a very effective weapon. The RPG was just a rocket-propelled grenade. They were also not very effective until they made their modifications to make it explode on a timer and a fan in the back to stop the flames from shooting out the back.
The American soldiers had far more sophisticated weapons to combat the Somalis. They had the M-16, M-60, mini-guns, and SAW. The M-16 was basically an AK-47 but it was far better. Its accuracy was better; the bullets would tumble so that when they entered the body they would bounce around inside the body. M-60 was a bi pod mounted weapon that was very powerful. The mini-gun was a gun mounted on the Black Hawks used to clear areas. It was very effective. And the SAW was a gas-propelled gun that was extremely accurate. These were the weapons used in the battle that was covered in this book.
He upgraded education. He also helped protect jobs so that families who have kids can take care of them if they ever got sick or something happened that they would have to go to the hospital and get medicine. The parents would have the money to get help. He also helped to protect people from violence by keeping handgun sales down so that gang members cannot get guns and also raised the fines for littering.
President Clinton was born in 1946 and his full name is William Jefferson Blythe IV. His father died in a traffic accident when he was three months old. When Clinton was four his mother remarried Roger Clinton of Hot Springs, Arkansas. In high school he took the family name he grew up with and became a good person and a good president in the world. He cared for a lot of people even if he made a few mistakes since nobody is perfect, but he tried to be a peacemaker the best that he could be.
He reminds me of the things that happened in the book because he and the soldiers think the same. They just want to have world peace and freedom and the soldiers want to go home to their families to stay and not to fight with the world. Everyone just wants to have peace. I know that Clinton wanted to have world peace and I think he made a lot of people happy as did the solders of Black Hawk Down.
