In the book “finders keepers” a normal, every day guy happens to find a box of money. 1.2 million dollars to be exact in unmarked bills. This guys name is Joey Coyle. He is a hard working man that works on the docks. He hasn’t been able to find work for many months now and is getting annoyed by this. He doesn’t have much of a life. However, he has his highs and his lows as if every one else but it seems like he has more lows then he does highs. However, he manages to get through his life with this. It hasn’t been announced yet so nobody really knows it is gone but a private investigator is on the case with the help of the FBI One day while joey was crusing the streets just blocks away from his home he spots a suspicious looking yellow box in the road he thinks that is would make a nice tool chest so he swings by picks it up but to his surprise is wasn’t empty is had 1.2 million dollars in it in unmarked bills. This has always been his dream. So he is so happy didn’t even know and exceptional the two kids that drove him by it. When he thinks he has it all it hit’s the news, now every one in this town is looking for it, and there is a reward. Therefore, everyone is helping look for it or give the information about the money. Since it is unmarked isnt traceable. Therefore, he goes to the local mob-boss. Nobody knows if he helped stash the cash or not but he still is a suspect. Now Joey’s dream is starting to turn into a nightmare he doesn’t know who he can trust. The people he once was able to might end up turning him to for the reward. He is now very nervous of who he can trust so he stops just sharing wealth with everyone and keeps it all him self. By him keeping this money runs the wrist of him losing his freedom by going to jail by going to jail for a long time or maybe even dying by some one else who might want it if they find out he has it. Now he is in constant fear. Now Joey is faced with a big dilemma keep the money and run the wrist of being killed or put to jail or just turn in the cash return to his old normal life. This is a true story by the way. In the end he ends up turning in the money and takes the reward and they didn’t care that he spent some of it. Therefore, this is what will happen to a small peace full town if something like his happens. This is a true-life story. |
