Although what happened in Somalia in 1993 was probably on of the biggest things that happened to the United States military, there were also many major developments in the Entertainmant business as well. One of the most popukar movies by Soeilberg was released in 1993. In the Classic film the scientists clone dinosaurs to populate a theme park which suffers a major security break down and released the dinosaurs. There were also a few other good moviess that came out at this time. Mrs. Doubtfire was a classic that had two very known actors in it, Robin williams and Piertce Brosnan. This movie was about an actor whose wife gets a divorce and is givin full custody of their children, so he is forced to take extreme measurea and dressed up like a housekeeper so thatc he can spend time with his children. T.V. shows were also begining to becom a major industry as well. There were ten top shows at this time. Those were; 60 minutes (CBS), Home Improvement (ABC), Seinfeld (NBC), Roseanne (ABC). Another thing that happened in 1993 was the NBA Finals. The 1993 NBA Finals will always be remembered as one of the great NBA playoff series of all-time. It had drama, excitement, and most importantly great basketball. Another major event in sports was Super bowl XXVII. There was also the World Series. But not all the events that happened in 1993 took an posetive attitude. The flooding of the Mississippi was the most devasting flood in U.S. history. Nearly fifty people died as a result of the flooding. 26,000 were evacuated and over 56,000 homes were damaged. There was also another terrible event that occured in 1993. It was first world trade center bombing. Terrorists detonate a bomb in an underground car park. |
