Naarad-5-Wanderer |
Why Naarad Jee Wanders Around? Everybody knows that Naarad Jee cannot sit at one place for long. He always wanders around. There is an interesting story about this as why does he wander around like this. Bhaagvat Puraan, 6/2 says that when Daksh Jee (son of Prachetaa Gan and Apsaraa Pramlochaa's daughter) wanted to produce people for this world, he produced 10,000 sons, all were named Haryashwa and all were alike, from his wife Asiknee and asked them to further produce children. They went to do Tap and as they took bath to start their Tap, their heart inclined towards Vairaagya, still they considered to obey their father; but at the same time Naarad Jee came there and preached them Bhaagvat Dharm and they went to forest. Seeing this Daksh Jee got very angry at Naarad Jee, still he produced another 1,000 sons, they were named Shabalaashwa, from his wife and ordered them to produce children. So they also went to do Tap and following their elder brothers. They also took bath in the same Sarovar and after that they also got inclined towards Bhaagvat Dharm. Still they decided to obey their father. So when they came out of the Sarovar, they also met Naarad Jee and he preached them the same Bhaagvat Dharm which he preached to their elder brothers. Hearing Naarad Jee's preaching they also went to do Tap. When Daksh Jee heard this that Naarad Jee had misguided his children, he gave him Shaap - "You have done very bad to us. They have not yet paid the Rishi Rin, through Brahmcharya, Dev Rin through Yagya, and Pitra Rin through producing sons, and you have destroyed their pleasures of both Lok. Once you have done this before also, we tolerated it, but this time I will not tolerate it. I curse you that you also wander in all Lok and do not stay at one place." Naarad Jee accepted his Shaap and since then he has been wandering in all Lok and does not stay at one place.
