Obstacles

When a Gyaanee wishes to untie the knot of attachment to world, many Riddhi Siddhi (powers) attract him. This is human nature that while doing Saadhanaa (Tapasyaa) he is attracted to lesser powers and many times he does get satisfied with them. It means that those lesser powers seem to attract him so much that his mind doesn't go beyond them. And there are many Siddhi which are so charming that they have this ability.

So if, anyhow, he escapes the attraction of those Siddhi, it means if he doesn't opt for them, then Devtaa open the  windows or doors of our body for pleasures. [Here mind is assumed as a house and five Indriyaan are assumed as its windows or doors.] This means that - since our Indriyaan (ears, eyes, nose, tongue, and skin) are the dwellings of Devtaa, so as Devtaa see any kind of worldly pleasure, they encourage those Indriyaan to get attracted to them and in turn putting Jeev again in the world.

For example, Devtaa of eyes will open the eyes for beautiful things, and Jeev will be attracted to it. The same is true for other Indriyaan too. Thus these attractions are called obstacles. To get Bhagvaan, it is necessary not to pay any attention to these obstacles and proceed towards Bhagvaan.
