Little Bruises

I’ve been to Hollywood, I’ve seen the dead wood, I’m on the plane again, I guess you knew I would.  All the faultlines here have split the city into two.  I thought of you today. I touched the ground and felt the earth move in L.A.  Hey Little Bruises, are you bleeding with me?  Such a sweet taste in this insanity, I keep a comin’ back, I keep a comin’ back to this ecstasy of Little Bruises and me.  Oh come on, dear.  We’re part of the food chain here, running ragged rings and fuelled by fear.  Like a moth that beats and beats against the window pain, I thought of you today.  Whatever brings you here has brought me all the way. Hey Little Bruises, are you bleeding with me?  Such a sweet taste in this insanity. I keep a comin’ back, I keep a comin’ back to this ecstasy of Little Bruises…  They’ll suck you dry in Babylon, you’re black and blue when things go wrong; drop the bomb; it won’t be long till Summer’s gone. ‘Is it hot enough, oh, for an earthquake, love?’ Did it move for you, like everyone does? This scene will need a lot of takes before we’re outta here; we haven’t come that far.  Our favourite song was ‘Always Crashing In The Same Car.’ Hey Little Bruises, are you bleeding with me?  Such a sweet taste in this insanity, I keep a comin’ back, I keep a comin’ back to this ecstasy of Little Bruises and me. Little, Little, Little, Little Bruises.
