The Rules
You cannot kill or write for someone else's PC. You cannot kill or write for someone else's NPC if effecting that NPC would directly effect their PC (IE, family members, friends, loves).
If you are writing for a fantastic character, such as a dragon, elf, faerie, etc; you MUST follow the already set guidelines for such a race.
You cannot write any caretaker NPC contrary to it's set personality. In fact, we would prefer you didn't write for an NPC caretaker unless you are that room's assigned moderator, but you are allowed to, unless that NPC is already engaged in a thread with another PC.
The main religion of Senoth is something very similar to catholicism and christianity. Other religions can be practiced, but be prepared to have your character generally frowned upon if they do.
If you want your character to be of a fantastic nature (ie Fairie, Elven, Dragon, other) email me to get the specifics of that race. Such creatures in the realm of the Dragon Saint are a bit different than in normal fantasy.
If you wish to adopt one of the standing characters, email me and get a full background on that character. It is also required that you read The Book of Knowledge to get a feel for how that character acts and reacts. Do not be offended if I don't approve you for adoption; I'm very particular about my established characters and want to be sure they are written faithfully to what's established. You are still free to create your own.
This is a fantasy based roleplay, and as such there will be some uncomfortable language and/or circumstances. Be sensitive in what you write, and be aware reading that you may come across such things. The boards ARE censored atm, so certain words will not be allowed. This may be rectified at a future date.
If you wish to quit DS, simply kill off your character, or have them leave. You can also 'give' your character to someone else, but be sure to email me to let me know, so I know who I'm dealing with. If you have adopted one of my original story characters, please do not kill them off unless I approve; if I have to I will take them over until they are readopted.
Time in DS will be posted every two days under the general chat board. It will run in the following incriments; early morning (2-6, as in Rhye), morning, noon, afternoon, evening, and night. Weather, as well will be posted as the time is changed.
There ARE guards that will make sure the city laws are upheld, and that citizens are protected. The ones in Capital City and related areas are offshoots of the castle guard; the Harbor Guard are seperate and answer to the harbor master, who answers to the queen. The farms and orchards are far less protected, but patrols do make daily rounds.
Senoth is a fully fantastic realm that I made up, out of my head. It is fairly the equivalent of our middle ages, say, the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, so there is no advanced technologies. Please, don't try and include inappropriate or anachronistic items.
If your post is inappropriate for some reason, or if you act without the bounds of the rules, your post may be removed and/or deleted by myself or the other moderators, or you will be told what is wrong and how to correct it. Abuse, slander, religious or racial slurs and hateful remarks toward any of the players and/or moderators will not be tolerated, nor will any unapproved or spamming advertisements.
Sending in a character description indicates agreement to these rules, and a willingness to abide by them. If you do not wish to follow them, don't join. It's that simple.
