What is the one key idea of this chapter. pay attention to the title of the chapter!

The key idea of this chapter is “Called to make a difference.” God calls us as Christians and as followers of him to make a positive difference in the world. If we can make a difference fro mankind not only will we be answering Gods call, but also we will be helping ourselves. Whether it is working for CSP or helping your neighbor across the street severing others makes u feel better because you made a difference in someone’s life for that moment and because of this you changed the world event though its small but you still made a difference

Write about two major ideas you want to remember. Write a short paragraph on each clearly stating the idea and then telling why you want to remember it.

One major idea I would like to remember from this chapter is seeing the world through the eyes of Jesus. When we choose to view the world from the eyes of Jesus we open our eyes, mind and heart to the reality that surrounds us. By doing this we find are calling to make a difference.

Another major idea I would like to take from the chapter would be that God calls us to sever and to make a difference in the world that we like in. I want to remember this because this should be the definite reason for why we should sever others. God has given everyone gifts for us to use in order to make a difference in the world.

One image that captures the chapter for you.

One significant question you have from this chapter. It can be intellectual or personal.

One question I would have from this chapter would be how Christianity came survive persecution and then influence the Romans. I have always found it a little ironic that the Roman brutally persecuted the Christians for many years and then came to adapt the ideas and ways. Even to day the term Roman Catholic shows to be how both cultures have merged together.

Do one of the "Living the Gospel" questions at the end of the chapter. Write out the question, reflect upon it and write out your answer.

One social injustice that is around us today would be sweatshop and harsh labor treatment. Many American companies create dark, hot workhouses called sweatshops In Southeast Asia where workers some as young as 4 years old work tirelessly for long hours making products that will be sold elsewhere in the world.

These workers receive far less then the amount able to live off of, are not allowed to form unions, are not given benefits such as dental insurance, health insurance, and a 401K plan that we in America receive.

There are to things we need to do to stop the social injustice the first is to continue to buy the products that way the workers can keep their jobs and money flow, no matter how same it maybe. The next is to work law and regulations to be made for companies employing in foreign lands. Organizations like the National Labor Committee, the United Students Against Sweatshops, the Global Exchange, and the Campaign for Labor Rights all work for more rights for the workers.

More things that you could do that are more immediate are fundraisers to donate money to these organizations. You can also email these organizations telling them of your support. If your would like to no more there, I have offered a number of websites at he bottom on the page.
