When you create a brush in PSP, it will automatically give it the default name for brushes which is UBrush.jbr.  To keep your brushes organized you will need to decide if you want to create them as individual files or as "group" files.  By "group" files I simply mean creating several brushes with a theme, such as ANGELS or VALENTINES or anything else that you desire.  Once you've made that decision and have gone through the process of creating the individual or group of brushes you will need to RENAME the default brush file to something that you will be able to recognize.  This was the reason for creating the new folder title MY BRUSHES and having the program save all new brushes to that folder automatically.  That's why you had to make sure all 3 of those little boxes were checked.  Otherwise they would all go to the regular BRUSH file and you'd have a bit of a problem trying to figure out if it was the correct file.

Renaming a file is easy.  Simply click ONE time on the file name to highlight it.  Next, RIGHT click on that file and from the dropdown menu choose RENAME.  You will then see a little box with a blinking cursor appear around the file name.  Type in the name you want the file to have.   I always use my initials so I can distinguish my files from those I've gotten from other sites or friends.

NOTE:  It is VERY important that you do not change the file extension.  The file extension for all PSP brushes is .JBR.  This tells the program that it is a brush file.  Without that little bit of information the program would not know what the file was and would have no way to use the information contained within the file itself.

That's all there is to making your OWN Custom Brushes.   Now get out there and create!!
