OCTOBER YORK RITE MEETING

Our monthly joint York Rite meeting will be held on Thursday October 18 at 7:30 PM. We will open Chapter that night, We will receive Companion Leonard Brewer for his Official visit as the DDGHP. Mark your calendar and join with us that night. Support Decatur York Rite!

MACON CHAPTER #21

We will had a very successful Chapter Day. Congratulations to our newest Companions: Robert Bellah, Jeff Patient and Clinton Joe Keller. We had four Past Grand High Priests and eight Grand Officers help with the work. The candidates were suitably impressed. The Most Excellent Grand High Priest Companion Bruce Rinehart was received in full form and presented an Honorary membership.

Macon Chapter will have a school of instruction from the Board of Grand Examiners on Thursday October 25 at 6:30 PM.

We will have practice every Tuesday night at 7:00 PM until all who are interested are ready for, and have passed, the Grand Chapter 1^st level of proficiency exam.

Macon Chapter has also asked to host another Chapter Day in the Spring. Details to follow!

DECATUR COUNCIL #16

Decatur Council #16 still has calendars for sale benefiting the Nurses Scholarship fund. The cost is only $20.00. If you wish to purchase one, call Leonard Brewer or John Campbell.

We are contacting our Council District Inspector James McIntyre to set dates for his Official Visit and schedule Council Degrees for our new Companions.

Decatur Council #16 will host the annual Sweetheart dinner on Friday February 8, 2008. Mark your calendar and bring your lady!

BEAUMANOIR COMMANDERY #9

Beaumanoir Commandery #9 Inspection date has been changed to Saturday April 19, 2008. We will also be practicing with Clinton #66 on Monday nights. Contact Cecil Griffith for details. We need your help!

Beaumanoir Commandery is also looking for dates to confer the Order of the Temple on our new Companions. It will be nice to Knight 3 new Templars.

AUGUST NECROLOGY REPORT

Companion and Sir Knight William Earl Hanks, born December 2, 1920, passed to his final reward on September 10, 2007. “Sarge” will be missed. He belonged to Stephen Decatur Lodge #979 and the Decatur York Rite Bodies.
