Home Projects

This is our back yard on the west side of the house. Upon moving into our newly constructed house in November 1986, we had a large fir tree cut down from the center of our back yard, which we then cut up. We kept the trunk and large branches for firewood, and burned the small branches. Then we had the ground graded to a more gentle slope and got it ready to have top soil and sod laid down in the spring. After that, Darlene's dad helped Bill build a cedar fence around the perimeter of the back yard. We have greenbelt trees to the right of this photo on the west side. Bill also enlarged the deck extending to the north end of the house, and built a large wooden shed on the south end. We also made a gravel area on that end for RV parking when we had our travel trailer.

Darlene helping out with painting the lower level family room, August 2004.

Bill cutting a hole in the floor at the top of the stairs
to fix the squeak that's been there since we moved in
18-1/2 years ago.

We then had new carpet installed for the family room, lower bedroom,
and all the stairs. (Sept. 2004)
