I've written a lot of maintenance manuals over the years (since 1980).
Here are some of the most interesting projects I've been involved with:

The B-2 Bomber
I wrote about a large electronic control box that monitors all the entry doors, bomb bay doors, and landing gear on the B-2. Depending on the door and gear positions, the box provides signals to allow or prevent take-off or landing.

The ARS-50 class Rescue and Salvage ships
I wrote about the Machinery Central Control System, which monitors and controls ship propulsion and electrical equipment.

The USS Safeguard (ARS 50), Grasp (ARS 51), Salvor (ARS 52) and Grapple (ARS 53) are the Navy's newest salvage ships. This class of ships, built by Peterson Builders, Inc., were commissioned between April 1985 and February 1986. Their missions include towing, debeaching, air diving, heavy lifting and rescue and assistance.
