First, the purpose of this site is completely different from the Battalion site.
We want to provide a link between the company soldiers and their loved ones.
I guess the key words are "soldiers" and "loved ones".

    Second, the Battalion site had less than 5 megabytes of free space left.
This site starts of with 15 megabytes. That gives us lots of cyberspace.

    I will be using Yahoo.com for the email on this site.

    Why? Because it is accessible from the internet.
My personal account and my dot mil address at the Facility will not be accessible while I am in Bosnia.

    I probably do have your email address at work.
But that is on a different system and not easily tranported to Yahoo email.
The simplest way to build a list is to send me an email,
then I save your address and add it to the mailing list.
Trust me on this one. It is easier on you and me. And guarantees accuracy.

    That will depend on the Beast Master's desires.
At a minimum we will be sending emails to keep you posted on major events.
Hopefully, more will be done with the list. If the company drill letter is any indicator, more will be the Beast Master's norm.

    Yes, but the size will be larger.
I been using a height of 80 pixels, which looks fine on a 17 inch monitor using 800x600 display.
But some folks are using a higher res on a 15 inch screen.
So, we will be going to a height of 150.
    Why use thumbnails? To save on page load time.
The Red Hawk page takes 5 minutes to load on my home PC.
I have a slow dialup connection.
Not everyone has DSL or Cable connections.

It is a JAVA program that is suppose to let you send our page to someone via email.
We are trying to get the word out as best we can.
And we hope this tool will be helpful.
