Mulder and Scully - an impromptu park bench meeting.
Mulder: Good evening, Scully.
Scully: Thanks.
Mulder: Nice to run into you.
Scully: I agree.
Mulder: It's a perfect evening for a walk, but I think I'll be
going home soon.
Scully: Oh, really? I guess there's nothing better for you than
walking.
Mulder: It's great to see you looking so relaxed this evening.
Scully: Thank you very much.
Mulder: Not at all. Here, care for some sunflower seeds?
(gives her a handful)
Scully: I know what you like (smiling). But, do different
brands of sunflower seeds taste different to you?
Mulder: (shrugs) Speaking of taste, I finally saw M. C.
Escher's Crab Canon in a gallery the other day, and I was
amazed at the beauty and ingenuity with which he made one
single theme mesh with itself going both backwards and
forwards. But for me, Bach's music is superior to Escher's
art.
Scully: I'm learning not to worry about arguments of taste.
Mulder: (smiling) We're learning to tolerate each other's
quirks, that's all.
(Their languid conversation is suddenly interrupted as AD
Skinner strolls by, stopping for a quick word.)
Skinner: Mulder, Scully – I didn't expect to run into you here
this evening, but I'm glad I did. The paperwork has been
filed, and you're both approved for two weeks leave, effective
immediately. Just lay low and let Blevins' death be
investigated through proper channels. It's good to see you
both outside and enjoying the fresh air, relaxing instead of
challenging each other's theories.
(Skinner smiles briefly, nods, and continues his own evening
stroll)

quirks, that's all.
