Lynne Putnam

Hello everyone - I have been holding off making a commitment because I was
trying to find a way to come, but I am going to have to send regrets. It
seems my work is getting in the way of my life, and as I have made two
other arrangements for time off this summer, the timing will just not
work........and so on. As I read through the list of names above I have
such a feeling of nostalgia; some of you I have kept up with, and I would
love to see each and every one of the rest of you, but it just won't work.
I just saw Courney, and Arlene, on a recent trip to B.C., and Michael
Wiss. Lynne Scharf (Taylor) visted me in Ottawa last month, and I visited
Judy Mason (Shaw) in B.C. last year. By the way, some of you will remember
(Dr.) Linda Ward from Brunskill. That warm and bright bundle of energy
passed away 4 years ago, about three weeks after some of us (Judy, Linda,
Cheryl Abbott, Morag Moffat, Bev Beavis, Sharon Leier) met with her in B.C.
And speaking of B.C., I also had the pleasure of hookin up with Pat
Dalgleish not so long ago.
I will try to squeeze in a more complete bio shortly, but the quick version
is that I am working with Health Canada in Ottawa as the Evaluation Analyst
with the Aboriginal Head Start program (an early childhood intervention
program). I have three fabulous sons who all look quite a bit like Ken,
although they all stopped growing at 6 feet. I have two grandchildren -
all all of them are in Western Canada. Most of you will know that Ken
passed away in November 2001.
I seem to be a workaholic, and am not very good at gymnastics any more, but
am otherwise pretty healthy and happy.............................warmest
wishes to you all; if anything changes I will send a memo to
all............~Lynne
