Hello Jack, this is Karen (Kaleal) Gislason writing you. I had thrown my name in on that website eons ago & have always watched with interest the names that would crop up. To be honest, not often do I visit there, but am so glad I decided to open you group email the other day. I was thrilled to see some very familiar names from the past, Joanne McLeod & I still keep in touch regularly. At any rate, felt since I had been so bold as to put my name on the list of 61 (if you recall I had decided to pursue a banking career at that time!) I best have the courtesy to advise you of my intentions for the reunion. Albeit I could not in all honesty consider myself part of the graduating class, I would dearly loved to have come back "home" to Saskatoon & re-live some of those wonderful high school days. However, I will not be attending due to my husband's health. We live on a lake just outside of Brandon, Manitoba for six months of the year & in Texas for the other six but we are now presently in Wpg., due to his diagnosis of Leukemia in early Feb. We have been here in an apartment ever since & are still going through rounds of aggressive chemotherapy. Our life is in turmoil at the present to say the very least. Anyway, all this being said, I am fully aware the festivities were probably intended for LEGITMATE grads!! But I do know the frustrations of trying to organize something of this magnitude & you do need replies, ligitimate or otherwise. I do hope you have a wonderful reunion Jack, enjoy your memories. Regards, Karen![]()
