This year we will be again communicating RIGOR, RELEVANCE, RELATIONSHIPS AND RESPONSIBILITY in all that we do. The schoolwide discipline plan is based on the responsibility system with four levels of behavior and environment aligned with their classroom discipline plans. The teachers are incorporating CHAMPS strategies in their classroom. The teachers will be sharing more about this with you.
This year we will also be focusing more energies and learning activities on environmental science. We will be involving parents and community in many of our efforts. Our courtyard activities will continue to focus on math and science integration into physical activities. We can use any volunteers during this time. Our middle school volunteers have held their orientation and begun their classroom help in the mornings. A few upcoming events include the following: Mid term progress reports will be at the end of this month.School Board meetings and forums about the student assignment plan are being held this month and in October. On October 9th we will be hosting visiting educators from JAPAN. The PTA Fall Festival is planned for the Saturday, 13th of October. Our staff members have begun a wonderful year! They have begun holding parent conferences, implementing many of the environmental science studies, and completing initial assessments. nbsp; The 07-08 School calendar link is: http://www.pinellas.k12.fl.us/Infosvcs/07-08calendar.html.
