I believe that gods and goddesses were exist, but they're not to be worshipped, because as like human, they too the creatures of Allah, The True God, The One With NO Gender, He's not a woman nor a man. This believe I call "ONE GOD WICCA".
Here's a little about gods / devas, and other kind of spirits according to the book "Sasangka Jati" (True Light):
"This group of creatures came into being at the same time of the beginning of creation and have arisen from element fire. Their psyche has sprung out God's power, or is an aspect of God's power, a shadow of Suksma Kawekas (not a part of Suksma Kawekas) and has received as garment the essence of element fire, therefore they are not perceptable by senses, although they are living beings."
There was a "so-called organizational pattern" in the world of spirits or devas. The degrees of their authority and society:
1. Luhur (Glorious) : regarded as the manifested Lord, the imitation of God The All Mighty, so they are still not even close to be God that we should worshipped.
2. Duta (Messenger) : symbolizing the medium for the manifestation of Will into Words. Symbolizes the Lord's words. But their words is not the Lord's words. Be careful not to be fooled by them!!!
3. Wisesa (Forceful) : symbolizing human individual with the five senses.
4. Hayu (Virtuous) : the devas of this group have a virtuous character and are doing deeds for well being and prosperity.
5. Kuwasa (Powerful) : symbolizing human individual with his threefold mind and four primeval passions.
6. Dana (Givers) : symbolizing the human individual with his primeval passions with inclination to two opposite directions, good and bad. They has the task of teaching and giving guidance to attaining well being and erfection to other devas (spirits) and human beings who has been chosen as followers.
7. Pada (Pawns) : consisting all kind of devils, demons, ghosts,
and the like, as well as human beings who have been swollen by the darkness, get lost and found back in this world.
Those creatures were just like human, they have countries, goverment,etc. And they too had religions!! There were Moslem spirits, Christians, Hindu, among others.
