THE BATGIRL SUIT

A lot of people to this day are wondering, where in the world is the "original" Yvonne Craig Batgirl costume for the 1960's today? Good question. To be honest, I am even not sure. I do know that I did see it auctioned on Ebay. I'm not sure if it was the genuine article or not, but it sure looked authentic to me. I was able to save the images before it sold in pieces. You be the judge.

There's only one person who would know for SURE.

I was dying of curiosity so I asked her and here's what she said:

"There were two suits that I actually wore and one that was in the
process of being made - so 2 1/2 would be a good answer to this. No, I
don't have it as it belonged to the studio and not to me. However, one
was stolen by one of the cast members (who will go unnamed) and sold at
auction for $35,000.00 about five years ago. The one that wasn't
completed I heard was sold to the Debbie Reynolds museum but I don't
actually now that for sure and that was closed some years ago. Hope
this answers your questions. Actually the costumes that were made for
"Return to the Batcave" were very nice and Wally Wingert has two of the
best costumes that I've ever seen - very detailed and authentic. Go
into his website at http://www.wallywingert.com and I think he has some
pictures of him in it there".......Yvonne
