Barry is a character from the hit NBC TV show, "Will & Grace". He was first introduced in the 12th episode of the 5th season, "Fagmalion Part One: Gay It Forward".

Barry is Karen's cousin, and has recently come out. Karen set him up on his first homosexual date with Will, who wasn't attracted to the greasy haired, bearded geeky guy he met. However, Will saw a lot of himself in Barry, who acted like Will had when he first came out. So with Jack's help, Will took Barry under his wing to help him into the life of being a gay man.

Barry underwent an amazing transformation from a shy, insecure, chubby bearded dorky guy to a real hottie. Before seeing Barry's physical change, though, Will found himself attracted to him and prepared to ask him out at Barry's coming out party. Shocked by Barry's new looks, Will felt shy asking the man out. Just as he worked up his courage, Jack cut in and asked Barry out.

Will jealously spied on the twosome's first date, but was caught by Jack. The friends left it up to Barry to chose and he picked Will.

After several successful dates, Will found himself falling in love with Barry. However, Barry, though attracted to Will as well, wanted to explore his new life and date other people before settling into a relationship.

Barry has appeared in "Fagmalion Part Two: Attack of the Clones", "Fagmalion Part Three: Bye Bye Beardy", and "Fagmalion Part Four: The Guy Who Loved Me". Barry is played by Dan Futterman.
