Three Important Moral Issues
Three things I learned in this section are:
In just war there are rules of conduct. One is that one must not target civilians. Another is that the values gained by a particular means must outweigh the harm done. These protect innocent lives.
In medical ethics, the purpose is to aid life while not causing undo suffering. One should promote life and ease pain. This comes from respect for human life.
        In business, It is
NOT any thing goes to make a profit. One must treat one's employees and customers with kindness. The business is a group, in which all the members should respect each other.
This week my class discussed three important moral issues. They were just war, medical ethics, and business ethics. In all three the respect of the human person plays a crucial part.
How can people so blatantly harm others to benefit themselves?
I can become a bettermoral person by considering more thoroughly how my decisions will affect others.
