This fanlisting is a rivalry between Jaganshi Hiei & Kazuma Kuwabara.
The first time they met, Kuwabara was really annoyed by Hiei's selfish attitude and lack of team support. Hiei thought Kuwabara just a waste of time and bothered not to pick a fight with him even though Kuwabara tried to beat him up many times. Later on, Kuwabara gives him the nickname "Shorty" because of Hiei's height compared to everyone elses.
Being team mates, they had to get along sooner or later and they do. Before you meet Hiei, you see Kuwabara as a very loyal person to his friends. Later on when you meet Hiei, you learn that Hiei has that same trait even though it might take a while to learn that. That trait sort of brings them closer together and even if they're forever rivals and may bicker sometimes, they know when to stop and work together.
I wanted to make this fanlisting because the rivalry between Kuwabara and Hiei is just so hilarious! Kuwabara is always trying to beat Hiei at something and it's very funny when Hiei always thinks ahead of time.
The title "Hateful Partners" was thought of by a friend of mine on xanga when I asked for suggestions for my fanlisting. Hateful Partners are talking about Hiei and Kuwabara (of course).
