The U.S.S. Bache

These are pictures of the Bache after she was grounded off Rhodes, Greece. They were donated by Ron Lucchesi, who was at that time stationed aboard the U.S.S. Charles H. Roan, DD-853.



Patience, this is almost 3/4 of a Mbyte of pictures, it may take a while!


Rons comments: I hope the photos will remind some of the tragedy of such a careless loss over nothing more than dragging anchor in a storm.

All of the photos were taken in February-March 1968.
