What Roni saw, she couldn't believe. There were dragons here. Dozens of them and all different colors. Roni watched their grace and beauty. She could even see some young ones running around playing. Then Roni realized, those weren't the dragons Rechen had talked about....
"Who's there?"
Roni spun around hoping to see Rechen, but instead, a different face came into view. A slightly younger face, with sad blue eyes and black hair. In fact, if it weren't for the lack of anger and hate in this boy's eyes, she'd say it was Rechen.
"Roni?" the boy asked slitghly confused.
"Who are you...?"
"It's me...Rean."
Roni sat there in shock, until slowly a smile crept across her face. She ran up to him and hugged him, so happy that he was alive and safe.
"Come on, let's get you inside, it's about to get dark."

Rean had taken Roni to his new home, which she had landed not far from. She met Rio'tzan, his shadow dragon, and his little pet Relian. Roni told about what Rechen was trying to do, and how he wanted her to try and bond a shadow dragon as well. Rean shook his head because he knew very well what his brother was up too.
"Don't do it. Rechen may seem like he's trying to break your curse, but he probably has more sinister things in mind. He's constantly teaching his dragon Larusm do to destructive things. Go for the normal dragons. I was lucky at the Shadow hatching. Rio'tzan is a weak shadow dragon. He looks evil, but I don't think there's an ounce of it in him. Please, try to sign up for the normal dragon clutches. I think there are two on the sands right now. Those dragons will probably help you straighten out your life alot more than an evil Shadow will. Just go down there tomorrow and ask around about appling for canidacy in the normal clutches."
Roni thought about it for a moment. It seemed like a much better deal to her than bonding to an evil dragon.
"What if the normal hatchling think I'm too evil for them.....I mean, I have done some pretty awful things. I don't know what I've done, but no telling what Kenoch makes me do."
"I'm sure that the dragons will be able to see that you had no choice in the matter. And, if you don't bond, you can stay here with me and Rio'tzan. He won't mind."
Rio'tzan made a sleepy purring noise as he stretched out. Roni could clearly see he was not like his brother Larusm.
"Tonight, let's get some sleep. It's probably been a long day for you." Rean said getting up.
"What about my curse? It's getting close to midnight."
No harm shall come to you while I'm here, Roni. I will protect you until you bond. Just like I protect Rean.
Roni Stared at Rio'tzan not sure if it was him who just spoke to her.
"That was Rio'tzan and trust me, he'll watch over us. Get some sleep. You can sleep in my bed if you want."
Roni started to realize how tired she was. She crawled into Rean's bed as he made a pallet on the floor for himself. She fell asleep as soon as she closed her eyes.

Roni woke up to someone shaking her. She opened her eyes and could see Rean smiling.
"Come on, wake up! I have a surprise for you!"
Roni sat up and Rean brought her a small basket full of sand and some jerky. She looked at him very confused.
"I went to the beach early this morning. I found an egg for you. What you do is when it hatches, you feed the baby some food and think about how much you love it. It will bond to you and be like my Relian. A sort of pet, but you can talk to it and it really understands you. Hurry, it's hatching!"
Roni watched as the tiny egg cracked. Out popped a tiny blue creature the creeled in hunger. She fed it, and soon could feel the messaging of love it sent her. The tiny blue crawled up her sleeve and rested on her shoulder.
"Are you going to name him?" Rean asked.
Roni thought for a moment.
"I think I'll name him...Rea...after you."
Rean blushed and looked away smiling.
"Come on, let's go for a walk." Rean affered.
Roni stood up and they made there way out the door.
