Upon this rock I'll build my team... said BlackSox owner Brian Reason in referring to first round draft choice Jeff Bagwell. Joining Bagwell will be outfielders Magglio Ordonez, Johnny Damon, Jay Payton and Paul O'Neill. The infield is young and talented, 2nd baseman Chris Stynes has a potent bat, SS Mel Mora and 3b Geoff Blum are two more youngsters looking to develop. The pitching staff will be anchored by Roger Clemens. Following Clemens are Gil Heredia, Kurt Rueter, Paul Abbott, Kevin Tapani and a couple of youngsters, Doug Davis of Texas and Travis Harper of Tampa Bay. The Bullpen should be a good one with Derek Lowe, Jose Jimenez, Rick White, Mike Venefro and Mike James.
