When Harry Potter first came out I had been skeptical about it. A mean, a little boy with messy hair and a tacky sweater just didn't appeal to me. But one night my little brother made me read the book to him and I was suddenly pulled into it. I couldn't stop reading the first book and soon I was going to the library and begging friends for the next book. Of course, I'll never agree with the character development--or lack of therefore--but I'll always like the idea of the Harry Potter world and the interesting--if a bit 2D--characters living in it.
