Wranglers were the first professional football team in Arizona. A
few NFL pre-season games had been played at Sun Devil Stadium, leaving
a taste in the football mouths of fans in The Valley of the Sun.
Then, a new league would be embraced by Arizona in 1983, and The United States
Football League welcomed the Arizona Wranglers to its ranks.
