The meeting will be held in Bogor city, 60 km to the south of the Indonesian capital city of Jakarta. Bogor city is famous in the world as a beautiful city because there are the extensive botanical garden which was established during the British colonial period in year 1811 and the beautiful presidential palace placed in the center of Bogor city.
The botanical garden stretch out over 87 hectares, parts carefully manicured like the palace gardens they are, parts seeming like wild jungle at first glance, with lakes, two rivers and hilly trails. If you are lucky, you may be able to spot blooming giant arum (Amorphophallus titanium), the worldfs tallest inflorescence which can reach an astounding 2.5 meters. In the northeast of the Botanical gardens, Large greenhouse housing orchids of all shapes and sizes from different wild and hybrid types, with two separate halls so there is always something blooming.
Near by the Bogor city, you could also visit the beautiful view of Puncak (highland and tea plantation) where you can enjoy the natural views beneath the Gede-Pangrango mountain, and the largest tea plantation in Indonesia and visit the tea processing at the tea factory within the Puncak area. On the other hand, you have also possibility to visit the Indonesian Safari Park (Taman Safari Indonesia) where you can have marvelous experiences and nice view of both the Indonesian endemic and world wildlife species just a few minute driving from the tea plantation. The IICC location is just across the botanical garden in walking distance, and at the place where you can easily access the biggest and modern shopping center in Bogor. Hotels and guest house are located 200m to 1 km from the IICC.
