About
Appearance
Alipeds are equine creatures, only a fraction smaller than the horse. They come in all the shades, colors, and patterns as horses do, but are more likely to have mutations.

Social Structure
Unlike many of the other equine creatures, the alipeds love to be in the company of humans, going so far as to be 'owned' by them. All alipeds live in a stable, no matter how large or small it may be. They love to associate with humans and with each other.

Breeding
Alipeds rarely take permanent mates. They are bred for their bloodlines, in order to get the champion foals for the next generation. An aliped dam would be overjoyed if her filly or colt was to become a champion. Breedings usually result in 1 foal, though twins are possible. Also, a stable may stud out their stallions for a certain price, but it must be agreed upon by both parties.

Naming
Aliped foals are always named after the stable that the sire belongs to. All foals that come from this stable will have names that begin with 'Demogorgon's', for Demogorgon is the name of the stable. In the case of breedings though, the foal will be named by the dam's owner. Names can be anything, so long as it is not silly or vulgar.

Genetics
Alipeds have a complicated system of genetics for coat color that are as close as possible to that of a real horse. More information on the
Genetics page.

Sales
Alipeds are usually sold in groups of 5 or more. Unless you are told otherwise, you may only buy one at a time. The same is with breedings. All alipeds for sale will be announced at the
Eastern Isle Marketplace.
