Dear All,
For sometime now, I have been paying attention to the goings on in the adult entertainment industry here in Phoenix. What I am about to tell you is not surprising, but saddening none the less. I have been in correspondence with adult film star Ms Stevi Secret in which recently opened a nude cabaret in Phoenix. Not too long ago, Ms Secret had an op-ed piece published in The Beat describing the kind of harassment she encountered when one evening her nude club was frequented by 8 members of Phoenix PD's Vice Squad who were undercover at the time. Includuing an unannounced inspection the next day where a female police officer was obviously scrutinizing Ms Secret's establishment by taking pictures to find violations of the city's adultbusiness ordinance. Well, as it turns out, the bureaucrats in Phoenix city hall are at it again. A few days after the article was published, Ms Secret recieved a notice in the mail citing her of violations of Phoenix' sexually oriented business code on the part of her dancers all of which are not true. Now, Ms Secret faces having her club shut down and her dancers (most of whom are single mothers) could potentially be thrown out of work. But we can put a stop to it if we act now. Its time to demonstrate to the elitists on the Phoenix City Council (especially Skip Rimsza) that we are aware of what they are doing and we will not let them trample over anyone's freedoms. Including those who want to work, frequent or own adult oriented establishments. Please take a moment, cut and paste and send the prewritten letter below (or, better yet, send a personal e-mail) to Rimsza and the Phoenix City Council (e-mail addresses included) that states we are calling on the city to stop its harassment of adult oriented establishments in the city. Including Ms Secret's. If Ms Secret's club is shut down, who is next? If we dont act or speak up, who will? Please do this today and pass this message on to all sympathetic parties.
Regards, Mike Renzulli

Dear Mayor Rimsza and members of the Phoenix City Council:
It has just come to my attention, that the column Ms Stevi Secret wrote describing the police visit to her club has now fully seven weeks later resulted in violations being written against her establishment. The column she wrote was a political piece and this kind of abuse of the first amendment (and a person's right to at least tell the people their side of the story) will not be condoned. I will not be tolerate a person's freedom to speak being surpressed (which is clearly the case with Ms Secret) under the guise of violations of Phoenix adult business code or any other ordinance. Her article gave me good insights as to the harrassment being committed by Phoenix Police against people who choose to work in the adult entertainment industry. I call on you to CEASE and DESIST these activities, whether its against Ms Secret's club or any other adult business within Phoenix city limits. It would be in the best interest of everyone that these belated charges be dropped since the ordinances regulating the adult establishments are unconstitutional and are a waste of taxpayer time and money to enforce. Attempts to surpress dissenting voices on issues (like free speech and adult entertainment) belong in totalitarian societies like Cuba. They have no place anywhere in the US. Including Phoenix.
Sincerely, name address telephone number
