The Four Noble
Truths is the basic teachings of Buddhism. The Buddha's Teachings
are based upon the Four Noble Truths. It tells us basically that life
is suffering and how we can cease this suffering from occuring.
The First Noble
Truth: The Truth of Dukka
Life is full of
dissatisfactions and Dukka are the experiences we have in our lives.
For example, birth, aging, sickness and death. We cannot run away
from this experiences as it is part if our lives.
The Second Noble
Truth: The Truth of the origin of Dukka
People are always
dissatisfied with their lives. People always have cravings,
anger, hatred, aversion and ignorance as part of them. This causes
our lives to be dissatisfied.
The Third Noble
Truth: The Truth of the end of Dukka-Nirvana
Buddha then tells
us that life can be without Dukka. This state of bliss can only
be achieved when life is without any dissatisfactions. When achieved
this state, one is considered Enlightened or Awaken from the
dissatisfaction of life.
The Fourth Noble
Truth: The Truth of the path leading to the end of Dukka
This Fouth Truth
tells us that there is away every sentient beings are able to
achieve Enlightment. By following the EightFold Path (Middle Path)
everyone is able to become a Buddha-The Awaken One. |
