Notes
on amendments and other queries Now that “Wiltons Galore” has been distributed, various interesting
questions are being asked about some of the contents. This is what we all hoped would occur. It is encouraging to have one of our aims
being met. Some of these queries are
of interest to researchers of associated families besides those researching |
SUPPLEMENT
1. The additions and amendments collected February to May 2007. Family members who failed to order a
copy by the deadline and missed out on the printed version may contact the
publisher at wiltonsgaloreupdates@gmail.com Not
all errors / typos have yet been found, I am still working through them,
however some of the following are available:-
p.91 At
the bottom of the page - the quotation attributed to Priscilla CURTIS,
"When she saw what they had come to she sat on her trunk and said she
would not take off her clothes until they took her back." There is some debate here as to whether
this was actually Elizabeth (DENMAN ) KILMISTER
v KILMINSTER spelling error p. 216-217 Martha Delilah KILMI( iii. There is a website with the wrong spelling
on it for this marriage probably originated from the same error as ours. “Entry no 792, application 2043 shows
Kilmister John, wife Frances, occupation Cooper,
ages 32 and 30 accompanied by 3 male and 1 female child.” v. Ward in his book "Early
Wellington" for some reason recorded the name as Kilminster. vi.
There is a written KILMISTER history Supplement 1. - DESCENDANT ADDITIONS:
