THIELE FAMILY General Information: Over the years I have had contact with another THEILE family also based in Christchurch, New Zealand who come from a different area of Germany and do not seem to be related to the family below. However there was also a Frederick William THIEL family residing in Christchurch, NZ too at the same time as our family ancestor Frederick William THIELE. This F W THIEL, died and had a huge Masonic funeral which was reported in the local newspaper, a copy is in the McDonald Dictionary Collection at the Canterbury Museum, Christchurch, NZ. The details of his having two spouses is incorrect, the reporter having combined there two men's wives together for the now deceased THIEL who was only married to Henrietta GRAVES. This Henrietta (GRAVES)THIEL, seemed to vanish after the funeral and researchers within that family had not 'found' her to my knowledge. Two brothers of our 3rd Generation emigrated to New Zealand and the third brother is thought to have gone to Austalia and contact was lost. Researcher: Jo Wilton email: wiltonnz@hotmail.com
