The chapter provides $250 each spring to an Antelope Valley College student majoring in the field of aviation. They also have a Future Woman Pilot program that provides up to $500 per FWP accepted into the program towards training. Long Beach 99s/Rita Buhl Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to women in the South Bay area of Los Angeles working on a pilot license, pilot revalidation or further ratings. Minimum requirements are that the applicant must have soloed and have passed the written exam for a private pilot license or be a licensed pilot. The flight training scholarship is in the amount of $1,200.00 in 2006.

Marin 99s $500 "Wing Up" Check Ride Scholarship
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide funding for the initial (private) or next level (instrument, commercial, etc.) check ride to support the dreams of women embracing aviation either as a personal passion or as a career. Application criteria includes: residency within 100 miles of Marin County Airport and the applicant must be eligible for the rating being applied for (ie: number of hours required), and have completed the written requirements for the rating. A $500 scholarship to a female resident of Shasta, Trinity, Siskiyou, Modoc, Tehama, Glenn or Butte Counties. The scholarship can be used by the recipient to obtain the private pilot license, or toward an advanced rating to further her pursuit of an aviation career. The San Diego Chapter 99s Flight Scholarships
Two annual $1,000 scholarships. Applications will be accepted from certificated women pilots who reside in San Diego County seeking advanced ratings OR from female student pilots who have passed their written exam and have soloed who reside in San Diego County. Students must also be FWP members of any 99s chapter.
The Student Pilot Application must be postmarked no later than September 30th.
The Advanced Ratings/Licenses Application is due no later than Dec 31st
The Marian R. DeLano Memorial Scholarship
$1,000 to a female with solo sign-off and written test passed for private pilot license, or a FWP; member of a chapter of the Southwest Section, Ninety-Nines; scholarship is good for one rating or certificate only. Air Transport Rating not eligible. There is a ninety day time limit to complete flight training, (instruction), using award funds. The scholarship is based on need and a written essay. San Luis Obispo 99s
The SLO 99s are awarding scholarships to San Luis Obispo County women interested in becoming pilots. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist with either obtaining the private pilot license or any advanced rating. Applicant must be a woman at least 17 years of age residing in San Luis Obispo County with at least 10 hours logged toward a private pilot license, passed the written portion of the exam for the rating for which they are training and hold a current medical certificate. Ventura County 99s Future Women Pilots' Scholarship
The Ventura County Ninety-Nines are pleased to offer a minimum of two (2) Future Women Pilots' Scholarships for up to $1,500. These scholarships are available to female student pilots who reside in Ventura County. They are offered twice a year, in winter and summer. The scholarship is awarded incrementally as a student completes various "milestones" of their training, such as passing the written exam, soloing, etc. Increments are not awarded for milestones that have already been met at the time the student pilot is awarded the scholarship. Scholarship awardees are expected to attend our chapter's monthly meetings. Payment of the scholarship is made to the student pilot's account at their flight school.
