The Harvest

Ours is not to reason "why",
but "if" and "whether or not".

Once made or taken of free will,
that choice our path defines.

It shapes character and self esteem.
No other shares the blame.

We harvest what we sew, it seems,
and reap the fruits or pain.

Yet of each spoken interfall,
there's something to be learned.

If we just open up our minds;
ourselves we'll have discerned.
