Congratulations on winning your first senior national title earlier this year. Tell us about your feelings leading into the Championships and your wonderfully consistent performance. Were you surprised that you came out on top or were you expecting it of yourself?
It was a big surprise to win nationals. I was just hoping to come in the top 3.

The Victorian Team was so dominant and has been for a while now - what do you think is the secret to Victorian success?
I have no idea! We just train really hard and encourage each other.

What are you goals for the rest of the year or do you simply take it one day at a time?
Well I just like to think about the comp coming up, at the moment, I am concentrating on Worlds most of all.

Are we going to see any new skills from you this year?. Are you allowed to tell us or will we have to wait and see?

What are your predictions for World Championships this year? Do you think the Romanians can defend their world title after competing against them at the ITC?
Romania is a very strong team, but its anyone's competition, we are just concentrating on coming in the top 6.

With only just over a year to go to the Olympic Games is it becoming just that more real for you? - Is it hard not to get excited about the opportunities you may have next year?
It is exciting, but we have a lot of hard training yet, I think I will start getting excited when I have made the team.

What was your most memorable overseas trip, and why?
I think my first overseas trip, it was the most exciting.

If you could choose any three people in the world to meet, who would they be?
My family.

What is your career highlight thus far?
1998 World Youth Games.

What do you see yourself doing after gymnastics?
Maybe join the circus, then I want to become a policewoman.

With your name becoming known amongst not only Australian but also world gymnastics circles is there anything you would like to say to all you new fans out there?
