The GAR Memorial in Albion
On Memorial Day members of the Camp and the Auxiliary took part in parades in Jackson, Concord, Spring Arbor and the re-dedication of the GAR Monument in Albion.

In June members of Austin Blair took part in the Rose Parade in Jackson. After the parade there was a picnic at Ella Sharp Park.

Members of the Camp also took part in theEducation Weekend, Blacksmith Festival, and Log Cabin Day. at the Waterloo Farm Museum.

Members spent the weekend answering questions about the life of a Civil War Soldier and the equipment that they used.
They also told stories of their ancestors and the battles that they had fought and died in.
Some members also took part in the drills with the re-enacting units that were there for the weekend.

The first part of August found us in Concord at the Mann House Museum for the Concord Civil War Days.

On the last weekend of the month we were camped out on the hill at the Jackson Civil War Muster.

September found our Camp replacing a number of headstones at the Jefferson Road Cemetery. A dedication ceremony will be held on the 17th of May in 2009 at the cemetery. Please plan on joining us.

The Camp also set up camp at theTompkins Freedom Festival held in Tompkins Center.

The weekend was spent answering questions about the life during the Civil War for the Soldiers and demonstrating the equipment that they used.
They also held firing demonstrations and held a skirmish.

October found our Camp and the Auxiliary set up in Albion for the Annual Corn Festival.

We were also back again at Waterloo for their Pioneer Days at the Waterloo Farm Museum.

Some members of the Camp also made it to Wolcott Mills for the re-enactment that was there.

November found Austin Blair Camp No 7 taking part in 2 different Veteran's Day ceremonies.

We started off in Jackson at the Defense of the Flag Monument and finished up the day taking part in the Mason Veteran's Day Parade.
