With the blooming awareness of Malaysians on the need for technology, coupled with the aims of the government to be one of the leading countries in Information Technology, no doubt Smart School has been the much-talk-about issue for the past two years. Regardless of the feedback from the society at large, Smart School is a vital project that will hopefully produce competitive workers in the realms of Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). Basically, the school will prepare the future generations with the ‘new’ working environment and culture of global network and economies. This study attempts to look into several challenges for teachers, students and facilities. As this is just a preliminary study, theoretical and descriptive aspects of the three main challenges will be highlighted. In addition, the framework used is the cultural continuum and data are gathered from journals, magazines, newspaper cuttings and books. Findings of the paper show that there are still some elements need to be properly addressed especially the cultural aspects in the society itself. It is hoped that with the achievement in technology, Malaysians too will achieve a balanced cultural awareness in each and every one of them.
