When three beautiful sisters are reunited, they realize each is 'charmed' with a supernatural power. Shannen Doherty, best known as Brenda on Beverly Hills, 90210, makes her return to prime time television playing Prue, the eldest of the sisters. Alyssa Milano (Melrose Place) plays Phoebe, a carefree spirited sister who embraces her new powers. The remaining sister, Piper, is played by Holly Marie Combs (Picket Fences).
The three soon learn that they come from a long line of good witches, and that they were destined to be the most powerful. Each has a different ability from moving inanimate objects to seeing into the future to making time stop. They must use these powers to fight against evil witches, known as warlocks
