My Wolves Page
Wolves are the epitome of the wild spirts, and yet in many ways, they are ritualistic by nature as the same as us humans. They also live by very defind rules and hold thier specific territories as sacred. They live within a hierarchial social structure with both the alph male and alpha female. Wolves have a complex communication system, utilizing body language, posture, eye contact, and tail positions. Through meditation and study of the wolf, you can learn to empower your own verbal communicatioin through effective body language. They also have a complex vocal communication system: howling, whimpers, whines, growling and even barking and each of them are different languages. Like a cat and dog, who have different cat and dog talk, each mean different things, the same as the wolves. Howls, can signal danger, or serve as a call to locate other members. They can greet one another and defind or mark out their territories to the newcomer. Sometimes they howl for fun. Wolves at all cost avoid fighting and disagreements are rarely end in serious fights. The wolf teaches us to know who we are and how to develop strength, surety and confidence within ourselves so that we do not have to feel the nee dto demonstrate or prove ourselves to others. If wolf comes to you, dont run away, face the wolf and talk to the wolf and you will be amazed what the wolf has to teach you. When the wolf came to me, I ran and kept running until my cousin told me to face him and dont run. I do have to admit, because of that advice, I turned and faced the wolf and talked with him and he taught me things that he thought I needed to learn or that the things that he thought would help me out in my life. Wolves have keen senses of smell and hearing. Just be open to what ever the Wolf has to teach you and not only that but be open to your self and what your inner self tells you. The sense of smell has been associated with spiritual idealim in metaphysical circles. The wolf relies upon its strong sense of smell and hearing for hunting, which transposes inot a remind for those with wolf as your totem to listen to their inner thoughts and words. Your intuition will be strong. The thick coat of fur that a wolf possesses further emphasizes this. Hair has long been associated with psychic abilities, and the wolf has both inner and outer coat, giving the ability to reflect the archetypal forces associated with psychic insight. Wolf medicine will help you learn to trust your own insights and to secure your attachments. Wolf can help you listen to your inner voice and help protect you from making wrong actions. Wolf will also guard you as it teaches you--something gently, oftentime firmly--but always with love. If you see wolf in your life, it is time to reach out and take control of your life. Breathe new life into your rituals. Find a new path, or take a journey..you are the master of your life. With wolf, you can learn to do so with harmony and dicipline, and learn the true spirit of freedom.
