        TIRED AND WEARY
I’m tired and weary, but must go on
For I know my duties are not yet done,
Just to rest for awhile ease off my load,
But not until I’m at the end of my road.

The Lord has called so I will try and obey
Turn my weariness around so it goes away,
For the road to God’s glory isn’t easy to tread,
It is not gained with having your feet up in bed.

Work while we can, for the labourers are few,
Work I am told as though it all depends on you,
But pray for the Lord’s help to pull you through,
It will surprise you what Lord and the you can do.

I will not be weary in striving to do His sweet will,
Make every moment count, days with goodness fill,
The day will come when it’s my time to take a rest
But while I have the strength I’ll always do my best.
