GIFT OF LOVE
Human hearts need love all life through,
A two way street, the concept is not new,
For as we gain love, God’s blessings flow
Into our life’s and we then will happier grow.
Life is full of love, something for all to share,
The kind of love that means, just being there,
If we can stretch out our hand in friendship true
It is surprising how much love comes to you.
The more we love the Saviour, the more we care,
The greater will be our love for others everywhere
As we follow His example, try to be a guiding light
Our love will burn deeper, kindness be more bright.
When I think of Jesus who was perfect in every way,
His great sacrifice, that pure love that will ever stay
In our hearts if we open the door and let Him enter in,
Then His love will heal us and keep us from cruel sin.
I’ll make room in my heart for Jesus, I’ll let Him abide,
So my heart will increase in love, not from Him hide,
Let my love, dear Lord, shine with Thy pure, eternal light,
Love with no set conditions, just love with all my might.
I pray that my love will grow and know no earthly bounds,
My mind thinks no ill, my voice make no thoughtless sounds.
Try to think or speak no evil, no harsh act to hurt ever make,
Love with all my heart for my dear Saviour, Jesus, precious sake.
For I feel this is the least I can try hard and one day do,
To love my fellow men, strive my whole life through,
To love and live the best I can, to glory in His name,
Help others seek the way to find Him, that is my aim.
