PASSING THE TEST OF TIME
If each day is a little better,
In each hour a new joy find,
Still hold hands and chatter
And faults you do not mind.
If there is no one more special,
No one else you really need
To be your sweet companion,
You have passed the test indeed.
For often with passing time
Comes a restlessness, a discontent
With a partner you have chosen,
With them, in misery time is spent,
But oh the joy of increasing love
As you hold close that loved so dear
Wholl be with you up above.
I hope I pass the test of passing time,
Always find greater joy each day
In this great man I want forever
As we tread the gospel way.
I know theres no one else I want,
If I make it to my mansion up above,
But the man I married years ago,
I just want his everlasting love.
