VALENTINE FLOWERS
Id love a bunch of flowers for Valentines day,
I dont mind what kind they are that come my way,
Fragrant ones would be nice, or with no smell at all,
As long as they are pretty they can be short or tall.
Any colour will be fine, a bunch large or small
To remind me of spring, summer or even fall,
For in dull February flowers bring happiness,
Even a bunch of dandy-lions I would bless.
I think a mixed bunch would do me very well,
Id remember every name and have a tale to tell,
For to me flowers have meaning as well as beauty,
So they bring ideas for poems and lovely grace to me.
Pansies for patience red roses for love, lily for purity,
White rose for young maiden, blue cornflower-delicacy,
Pinks of white are for talent, honeysuckle for beauty,
Hundreds of flowers have many meanings you see.
But dont worry about what all the flowers mean
Just enjoy the great beauty that is in them to be seen,
Place them in a pretty vase near the window pane
And just enjoy every moment as maturity gain.
When they are all withered, well past their best,
Place them in the garden and just let them rest,
Maybe some miracle may come your gardens way,
The seeds from the flowers may start to grow one day.
