LOVE IS SERVICE
When you truly love another, you just want to give,
Give loving service to them as long as you live.
For the more you serve, the more true love grows,
For service is the vessel through which love flows.

True love should be unselfish, loving in a special way,
Thinking, “Want can I do to show my love today?”
If you do not wish to serve, one would have to ask,
“Is there love in a heart if service seems a hard task?”

For love is serving with a smile, a heart that is light,
It is waiting to find ways to make other eyes shine bright,
It is thinking of things that will cheer up your mate,
From sitting holding hands to a meal on a china plate.

Love is not “I” but “us” for two folks are now just one,
Sticking together, sharing all your joys, laughter and fun,
As well as the troubles and sorrows that come your way,
And because of sharing you become closer every day.

So look at your service to the one you love right now,
Will you smile contentedly, or have a frown on your brow?
Show the one you love how very much you really care
By giving service all the time, and always being there.
