IN HONOUR OF THE UNION OF
KATHLEEN AND MICHAEL
IN HOLY MATRIMONY
Dear Michael and Kathleen, you will be married by now,
Have together taken that eternal, sacred holy vow.
Now joined as one as husband and wife, strong and true,
To spend eternity together, overcome trials in front of you.
The road may not always be smooth, or the pathway bright,
There may be trials and sometimes dark will be the night,
But let the love you feel glow within each tender heart,
Each of you work with a will, do more than your part.
Remember your wedding day and the promises given,
Remember the look in your eyes as you started toward heaven.
Never forget that Satans power is strong, but good will win,
If into your loving hearts you let the dear Saviour enter in.
May you be blessed with deep joy, with love and sweet peace,
May the love you feel now, never diminish, but always increase,
May the blessing of heaven descend into your lives each day,
As you struggle with problems of life that may come your way.
Keep this poem close by and when things seem to go wrong,
Read it through and remember, your day, then sing a song,
For no trial however hard, or problem can ever really destroy
A couple sealed together as true love binds you two in joy.
