A PSALM ASKING FORGIVENESS.

Dear Lord, in thy infinite kindness,
Forgive my weak human frame,
Look upon my repentant heart
And help me feel whole again.
Depression is a sin of ingratitude
That should be shunned of man.
For thy goodness and mercies
Surround me day and night.
Thy everlasting arms guide me.
A Fathers love is there for me.
So dear Lord help me see my face
In the rising of the sun,
And let me see thy countenance shine
In the moons gentle rays.
For I know of the blessing of eternity
So why should I feel down and depressed?
I know thy great love for me so why should I fear?
Lift my soul and heart from sorrow
Renew the joy to my empty life,
Give me the strength to endure
With good grace to the end of my days.
Help me understand thy ways dear Lord.
For I long to greet thee, like driven snow,
Let not scarlet spot of ingratitude mar
My heart. Forgive me dear Lord
For my weak and feeble ways
And point to me my eternal goal.
