LEND A HELPING HAND

Lend a helping hand sister, lend a helping hand,
Stop the foolish building on the treacherous sand,
Guide them to the rock of truth, whereon the wise do build,
To lend a helping hand sister is just what god has willed.


Lend a helping hand sister when one has gone astray,
Help guide her gently back, along the truthful way,
For if perchance you wander from this happy band
The little extra help you need, is in the helping hand.


Lend a helping hand sister when the sick around you lie,
Remember christ our Saviour? did he pass them by?
He left some work for you sister, the sick, the halt, the blind,
So lend a helping hand to those he left behind.
