IF JESUS WERE TO CALL

If, by some miracle Jesus would knock on your door,
I don’t think He’d worry about some dust on the floor,
Or, He caught you washing dishes, or cooking a meal,
But how at His coming your home and heart did feel.

As you invite Him into your home with His holy light
Would He want to stay with you through the night?
Would there be a feeling of warm love in your home?
Or would it be contentious, making Him want to roam?

A home should be a refuge where the Lord may enter in,
Feel the radiating love that protects us all from sin,
Our home should be a haven were family can rest,
And only heaven above will they think is best.

If loving hearts beat as one and love flows free,
If Jesus knocks, that’s where He’ll want to be,
So try and build a home where Jesus will want to stay,
Although you may not see Him, He is never far away.
