FREE TO CHOOSE
Sometimes it is hard through lifes busy way
To choose the right things every single day,
We listen to voices that guide us to choose
Right from wrong, sometimes the right we refuse.
Yet we can pick ourselves up and start again,
For the freedom to choose will forever reign.
For it is one of the gifts of a loving God above,
Who wants us to grow in wisdom and love,
For if there was only one straight path to tread,
No other choice, no other path for us up ahead,
It would be easy to return to heaven so bright,
But would we enjoy its pure glowing light?
No, for we need to earn the throne of gold
By learning to live the gospel so noble and bold.
So Im glad that each day that I live on earth
That I can choose and so grow to be of great worth,
And prove the trust that God placed in His child
And choose the right, by being gentle, meek and mild.
